To compete for a job opening at DFEH, new candidates need to take the following steps:

  • Identify classifications for which you are qualified, take and pass an examination and be reachable on a current employment eligibility list.
  • Once your examination status is secure, identify and apply for vacant positions within that classification at DFEH, following all instructions outline in the job posting, including State of California Application Form (STD 678), resume, statement of qualifications, etc., as requested.
