Yu-Yee Wu, Attorney Mediator

Prior to joining DFEH as an Attorney Mediator in 2018, Yu-Yee Wu was a member of the State Mediation and Conciliation Service (SMCS) of the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) where for seven years she mediated public sector collective bargaining disputes statewide, including for cities, counties, safety officers, bus drivers, teachers and schools. Prior to becoming a State Mediator, Yu-Yee served as an Industrial Relations Counsel III for the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Workers’ Compensation, drafting regulations and conducting regulatory oversight and trainings on workers’ compensation regulations and disability law. Prior to entering state service, Yu-Yee litigated in federal and state courts, with a focus on employment discrimination cases. She has mediated for over ten years and taken over 100 hours of mediation training. Yu-Yee is a former Civil Service Commissioner for the City and County of San Francisco and a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Yu-Yee works in the Dispute Resolution Division’s Fremont office.
