Educating Californians about our Civil Rights laws is one of the primary goals of the Department of Fair Employment and Housing. There are a number of ways you can get information about these laws, how to comply with them and how to determine if you have been the victim of unlawful discrimination. Our Education and Outreach efforts provide online updates, print publications, visual media, and training. In addition, we hold public meetings where discrimination issues, projects, and implementation advice are regularly discussed. You can also contact DFEH directly with questions or requests.

DFEH provides many free publications for you to download. These include posters that businesses are required to display as well as brochures and fact sheets that provide overviews of California’s anti-discrimination laws and procedures. DFEH provides Información en Español plus documents translated into several other languages. If you need help in your native language, please contact DFEH at 800-884-1684.

The information in DFEH publications can be made available in Braille, large print, computer disk, or tape cassette. Contact us or call 800-884-1684.
