Configuring Pop Up Blockers

Houdini displays your documents in a pop-up window, so if you are not seeing your documents then it is likely that your web browser is preventing the pop-up from displaying. Below is a list of common web browsers and a link to the instructions on how to disable their pop-up blocker functionality. You can temporarily disable your pop-up blocker while using our system and then re-enable it when done. While it is a bit more tricky, you can add to the list of excluded sites.

1. Google Chrome

  1. Access Google Chrome’s Menu, located at the top right section of the toolbar.
  2. Choose “Settings.”
  3. Click on “Show advanced settings,” located at the very bottom of the Settings page.
  4. Select “Content settings,” located under the Privacy section.
  5. Inside the new window, scroll down to the middle until you see “Pop-ups.”
  6. Click on “Manage exceptions…”
  7. Within the textfield type in The textfield is located underneath Hostname pattern

2. Mozilla Firefox

  1. Access Mozilla Firefox’s Menu, located at the top right section of the toolbar.
  2. Choose “Options”.
  3. Select the “Content” tab.
  4. Click on “Exceptions…” located to the right of “Block pop-up windows.”
  5. Underneath “Address of website,” type in and click allow.

3. Apple Safari Version 10

  1. Access Safari’s preferences by selecting Safari at the top left of the menu bar and selecting Preferences
  2. Click on the “Security” tab.
  3. Uncheck “Block pop-up windows

4. Microsoft Internet Explorer

  1. Select the “Tools” icon, located at the top right of the window.
  2. Choose “Internet options.”
  3. Click on the “Privacy” tab.
  4. Access the Pop-up Blocker settings. Located under the section “Pop-up Blocker”.
