The mission of the Department of Fair Employment and Housing is to protect Californians from employment, housing and public accommodation discrimination, and hate violence.

Now you can schedule your appointment online anytime day or night for an interview at the nearest DFEH district office to file a complaint about job-related discrimination or harassment. (Or you can make an appointment by telephone during regular business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., by calling 1-800-884-1684 (within California) or 1-916-478-7200 (outside California) or TTY 1-800-700-2320.)

Persons represented by counsel, who wish to proceed directly to court on employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation complaints, can now request a right-to-sue letter online.
