To file a complaint or contact the Department, please call (800) 884-1684 or email the Department at contact.center@dfeh.ca.gov and a DFEH representative will respond to you within three business days.  For persons with a hearing disability, please call our videophone at (916) 226-5285 or TDD at (800) 700-2320.

  • Filing a Complaint. The Department of Fair Employment and Housing does not accept complaints filed for investigation by mail.
  • Contact DFEH about an existing complaint. Contact your investigator directly. If you have lost that information, or need other help regarding a specific complaint, please call (800) 884-1684.

If you have a question or concern about a currently pending investigation, you should contact the investigator assigned to your case or the district administrator that manages the office in which your case is being investigated.
